To use the Map Tools:

Toggle Overview: Turn the Overview Map On and Off |
| Zoom-by-Area: Select the zoom by area tool, then define a rectangular area to be magnified on the map by clicking two places to mark opposite corners of the rectangle. | |
| Zoom-In: Choose the zoom-in tool, and then select a location on the map for a closer look. | |
| Zoom-Out: Click the zoom-out tool, and then select a location on the map for a broader view. | |
| Fit Map: Select the fit map tool, then click anywhere on the map. This tool fits the entire original map of the county into the frame—handy when you’ve zoomed in and are no longer sure where you are! | |
| Center Map to Point: Click the center map tool, then choose the location you would like as the center of the map. It zooms out slightly and re-centers. | |
| Refresh from Server: Click this tool and the display is redrawn. | |

Measure Line: Use the left mouse button to start drawing a line, continue clicking the left button to continue the line, use the right mouse button to stop. The distance will be displayed in the Measurement box

Measure Area: Use the left mouse button to start drawing a polygon, continue clicking the left button to continue the polygon, use the right mouse button to stop. The distance will be displayed in the Measurement box. |
| Display Last View: Choose tool and wait while the map redraws your last map view. |
